Blog Content Changes!

How many times have I stopped blogging then promised to come back (only to stop again for a year or two)…?

Maybe three, but I think this time it might stick. Let me tell you why.

First off, the subject of content will definitely be changing. When I had started this blog, I was still in college. Now I’ve been in the workforce for… yikes, almost 5 years! Time flies, and naturally, my interests shifted a bit. It’s not a dramatic change; I still read manga and watch anime. But I do so much less than I used to. Thinking back on it, I never really consumed enough to have many meaningful blog posts about shows I watch or manga I read anyway. The main thing I have been putting leisure time into (that I also feel like I can write about) is language learning, specifically learning Japanese.

That being said, I won’t only be writing about my Japanese learning journey here. After all, I still have other interests that I’d like to talk about. General learning strategies, music, notetaking, design, development… all these things I want to keep as fair game. As well as anime and manga! I’m not giving it up, I just know there will be less of it.

The next thing (that probably only matters to me, but I’m writing here for posterity) is that in order to get myself to actually publish things more, I am going to attempt to cut down my word count and target ~300 words or so per post. It’s less to edit and should allow any readers to jump to topics they care about faster instead of parse through a 1000 word… thing.

Anyway, I can’t really think of a good way to end this post, but thank you for reading, and I hope that you decide to stick around and enjoy the upcoming content!
